The festival will take place from August 21 to 23, 2026, and for the third time Almaty will turn into the musical capital of Central Asia. While the full lineup has yet to be revealed, the festival has already announced two of its biggest artists: iconic rock musician Jack White will take the stage on August 21, followed by the legendary Gorillaz on August 22. As always, the festival team curates its lineup with a focus on the individuality and cultural significance of each artist. Visitors can look forward to three days of world-class live music, featuring both international stars and talented musicians from Kazakhstan. The organizers aim to make Almaty a central hub for festival culture in the region and to bring more major global acts to Kazakhstan. Last year, Park Live Almaty attracted over 40,000 attendees. Jack White is a rare example of a truly era-defining guitar hero. His work is a constant challenge to convention: he remains a sonic iconoclast, a guardian of classic songwriting craft, and the driving force behind his own label, Third Man Records. This unwavering creative boldness is evident in everything he does—from bands such as The White Stripes, The Dead Weather, and The Raconteurs to his expansive solo discography. Jack White’s name has long been synonymous with musical influence and artistic independence. Recent years have only cemented his status. Last year, the musician unexpectedly released his sixth studio album “No name” that initially existed exclusively on vinyl before later appearing online. In November this year, The White Stripes were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and White himself took the stage alongside Eminem at an NFL game in his hometown of Detroit—an event that instantly made headlines around the world. The duo The Kills remains true to their signature style, which earned them worldwide acclaim —minimalist post-punk with character. Sharp guitar riffs, punchy and confident vocal, and the rhythmic sound of a drum machine create the band's recognizable sound. American vocalist Alison Mosshart and British guitarist Jamie Hince expertly play with emotions and win the hearts of listeners. Their music captivates from the very first seconds. Be warned: once you experience The Kills, you may find yourself under their musical spell for quite a while. Gorillaz are more than just a band — they’re a universe of their own. Created by musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett, the band consists of four animated members and is known for its genre-blending sound, mixing alternative rock, hip-hop, and electronic music. Over more than two decades, Gorillaz have become a true cultural phenomenon, earning global acclaim and a host of prestigious awards. The band recently announced their upcoming ninth studio album, The Mountain, set for release on March 20, 2026. And this summer, fans in Kazakhstan will have the chance to hear the new tracks — alongside their greatest hits — live on August 22 at Park Live Almaty! The New York hip-hop group De La Soul is also widely known for their involvement in the iconic track «Feel Good Inc.» and for winning a Grammy Award in 2006. From the very beginning, they stood apart from many late-1980s rap acts: instead of the harder-edged gangsta rap that dominated the era, their sound blended unconventional sampling, clever wordplay, and touches of jazz, funk, pop, and psychedelia. For listeners and the wider hip-hop culture, De La Soul’s story remains a lasting source of inspiration: staying true to yourself, welcoming the new, and honoring your roots are what keep an artist influential for decades. Their 2025 album Cabin in the Sky became both a tribute to the past and the opening of a new chapter, grounded in legacy, yet looking firmly toward the future.
